Chengdu University Public Welfare Association is dedicated to the development of better education for students in rural China.
We spent half a month at LuZhou MaoShan primary school in HeJiang county, in SiChuan province to provide teaching support. It was for a short period of time but we were deeply touched by this unique experience. School conditions are very poor, and the majority of school supplies, equipment, etc. are reliant on donations. When it rains, the school playground gets quite muddy. It doesn’t have enough teachers. Students walk 2 to 3 hours in the mountains to school and need to go back home before dark:
