​LRS Care: Telephone Reviews 4 Years Later

Little Red Scarf is in Lanzhou, Gansu province and provides financial support and encouragement to children suffering from congenital heart disease. In addition, they provide families with post-operative care and help the children sustain a healthy lifestyle.

18 patients were discharged by hospitals in September, 2011. We called them 4 years later. We got to know they latest developments and reminded them to do re-check in hospitals. 

265 Jinyu: the service has been suspended.

266 Nana. Nana is in Grade 3. The school is 1 kilometer away from home. She attends PE and she was recovering well. Her grandparents are fine. Her grandfather just came back from city and her grandmother takes care of her. Her grandfather thanked LRS.

267 Yongkang. Yongkang is in Grade 4 and his parents work in Lanzhou, so he go to school in Lanzhou. He takes school bus and he attends PE. He became healthier this year. He eats less, so he is thin and short. Everyone in the family is fine. They thank LRS.

268 Xinyi. The number has been changed.
 
270 Weijie. Weijie is in pre-school. The school is 10 minutes away. He is fine and could run or jump. He became healthier and seldom caught cold. His father works in the city. His mother raise about 50 sheep. Life became better and they thank LRS.

271 Wilin. The number has been our of use.
 
272 Zhede. Zhede began to go to kindergarten. His grandmother answered the phone. She said everything is fine with the child. He often got cold, about 3 times a month. He had to take intravenous infusion when he got cold. He just came back from rehabilitation training. He could speak simple language. His parents went to the city for work. They brought the child with them. They thank LRS.

LY82 Xiaoqiang. Xiaoqiang’s father answered the phone. He said the child was okay. He is 5 years old. He is in pre-school and could run or jump. His scar has been recovering well. LY-95 Zhuanyun. Zhuanyun is in Grade 7. The school is near, about 2 or 3 minutes’ walk. His father received the phone. He said the child is fine. He attends PE at school and gained some weights. He is taller than his contemporaries. He is healthy. The family built new house this year. Thank LRS.

LY-99 Jiakang. Jiakang is in Grade 6. His father answered the phone. He attends PE at school. He grew taller than his contemporaries. He is healthier. His father learned skills. The life became better. Thank LRS.

LY-100 Yanxia. Yanxia is in Grade 7. She is fine and seldom caught cold. She attends PE and grew taller. She gained weights and the scar healed well. Her father went out to work. Everyone in the family is fine. Thank LRS.
 
LY-101 Shihan. The number has been changed.

LY-102 Yunan. The number does not exist.
 
LY-103 Jintong. Jintong is 8 and he is in Grade 2. His father said he did well at school. He is healthy and attends PE. He grew taller and gained weights. Her parents planned to take her to Lanzhou for school. Thank LRS.
