A Summer Camp Too Happy and Fun to Forget
While most people look at heart disease as something negative, I felt that I was blessed to have this heart disease. Without this heart disease, I would not have been able to come to this camp and experience such happiness. I secretly celebrated that I had this heart disease.
I’ve never been to a summer camp before. I have never felt more blessed, happy, and warm-hearted than when I went out to play during this summer camp. What I didn’t expect is that the Little Red Scarf summer camp would let me feel blessed, happy, and warm all at once.
While most people look at heart disease as something negative, I felt that I was blessed to have this heart disease. Without this heart disease, I would not have been able to come here to experience such happiness. I secretly celebrated that I had this heart disease.
During this 2016 summer camp, I got to know a few teachers: the emotion-filled and vibrant teacher Guan, the rewarder (and punisher) teacher Chang, the thoughtful teacher Wang, and the optimistic teacher Yun.
There were also lots of cute kids younger than me and bigger kids older than me. Of the older kids, I remember Xiao Xiao and Lina teaching us how to sing and dance, allowing us to feel unprecedented amounts of happiness. Xiao Wen also made us laugh a lot with his humorous behavior. He’s got lots of skill with the Rubik’s cube and can solve it very quickly.
There were also two younger kids grouped in the same dormitory as me: Jia Ju and and Chen Yang. Jia Ju is cute and lively, while Chen Yang is optimistic and positive. Compared to them, I am very lacking in those areas, but with hard work I can make up for my weaknesses and catch up to them!
Among others who came to our summer camp were Aunt Cindy, Uncle Zhong, and Brother Xiang. They brought happiness to our camp.
During this summer camp, I learned unity, love, teamwork, innovation, and cooperation.
Ah, I will always remember this beautiful period of time at the summer camp. I hope that I can return to this summer camp next year as well. I will share my happy stories of this camp with the younger kids in my village to let them feel the lasting happiness I felt and get them interested in attending the camp.
