In June, our application to attend training on social entrepreneurship skills, held by the British Embassy, was approved. With the support of the seed fund from TFish, I attended the training on July 1.
Social entrepreneurship means solving social problems via market rules. I think it’s a solution for many of the economic conditions in Chinese. This is my first time becoming involved in international public welfare. I made many friends from different places. During the 3-day training, we exchanged views and learned from each other. I want to thank the British Embassy for providing such a nice platform, and I want to thank TFish for providing me with this opportunity. Though we just started, we already have support.
The most impressive case in the workshop was that of the Qiang Embroidery Plan supported by the One Foundation. This is a project dedicated to leading the Qiang ethnic minority to revive their traditional embroidery. I think this project is similar to our operation and is worth learning.
3 days is short and we had to leave before really getting to know each other. But I wish good luck to all of them. Everyone has a dream,, and I hope they will make it happen.
