Description:
Himalayan HealthCare (HHC) seeks to improve quality of life for people of Nepal's most marginalized communities by providing primary healthcare, community education and income-generation opportunities. Targeting the root causes of poverty and illness, our programs are developed with active community engagement, with women at the center. Since 1992, in northern Dhading District, HHC has worked in remote, roadless mountain villages where community members live in extreme poverty, lacking access to basic education and health care, currently struggling to recover from the devastating 2015 earthquake. For over 27 years, HHC’s life-changing work has benefited many thousands of Nepal’s poorest residents.
