Donation Impact

HIS Foundation wheelchair program provides an unique opportunity for spreading God's love to the poor patients from rural area in China.  All donations go to purchasing the parts of the wheelchair.  Volunteers who assemble and distribute the wheelchairs pay for their own travel and living expenses.    This enables maximum impact for each donated dollar.   402 poor patients gain mobility and dignity through this year's program.  Fundraising needs per year: $20,000

Field Updates 2015

Results: 550 wheelchairs were successfully assembled and delivered. The wheelchairs made significant impact on many patients with difficulties in walking. Some patients were bed ridden or were not able to get out of their houses. Now with the wheelchairs, people are much more mobile. They can go out to visit friends and relatives. The wheelchairs increase the quality of living and give new hope in life.

Team Building
The students attended the camp are high school students with good academic standing but from poor families in rural China. They are also current recipients of high school scholarships from HIS Foundation. This is the first time these students attended a youth camp. The camp provides an unique opportunity for character building.

Field trips
Outing provides another opportunity for interaction between the students and the teachers. Both get to know each other quickly. The activities also have chances for students to help each other.

Lectures
A series of lectures on setting targets for different stages of life. Emphasis are on making decisions, planning, and execution. Lecturers included college professor, engineer, and nurse.

“ I learnt that being thankful is very important in life. I am thankful for all our teachers came so far from different parts of the world to teach and share with us. Thank you. “

“ In the beginning of the camp I was still troubled by the tension of study and life. However through the activities of the youth camp I felt relief and I could enjoy life again. “

“ What we learnt in this five short days seems to be more than what we learnt in school for the past 10 years, much more. We really benefit a lot. “

“ In this youth camp, we are like a family and the walls between us broke down. We talk and laugh together. We climb the mountain and labor together. We encourage each other. We watch the beautiful scenery together. We grow together in face of adversaries. “
