Project: Tribal Poverty Relief
Mission: To provide local sources of clean water for the Ngoc Lac Church congregation and community by building 6 water wells.
Results: There are 4,000 inhabitants in this rural district, including Muong and White Thai ethnic groups. The Minh Son church in the Ngoc Lac district has 150 people regularly attending. This project will be done through the church to bless both the believers and the other neighbors in the community. It will be a means of evangelism and help the church be seen more favorably. |
Description: The members of Ngoc Lac Church live in a mountainous area in Thanh Hoa province. Due to the geographical challenges, these families face many economic difficulties. They especially are in need of a clean water resource.
Currently the community's water source is from a water storage lake at the foot of a mountain. The local people must carry a pot on their heads and walk a long way to get water to fill their cement reservoirs at home. As the water flows through the mountain area, it does not meet hygiene standards. The local people desperately need a source of clean water. Out of all the challenges the locals face, having clean water is the top priority. Our TFish representative Rev. Thu from the Taiwan Prison Ministry will be moving to Vietnam to help us oversee this water well project, among others. Field Partner: Vietnam Tribal Ministry
