Longwan Caring Home is located in Dahua County, which was listed as one of the poorest counties in Guangxi Province. Longwan Caring Home is a big family consisting of orphans, single parents, and abandoned children. The normal expense of the Home is sustained by plantation, breeding, and small business.
Children call him Xiao Ma Ge who is a Taiwan poet. He spent his 2014 spring festival holiday with 5 children from Liao family by visiting the children. He went to different families. The way of spending his holiday impressed many children.
This year, Xiao Ma Ge and Yao Shangde, an actor, gave up their opportunity to reunite with their family members. They came to remote areas in Guangxi Province and spent their spring festival with the children from Longwan. On February 17th, 9 persons including Xiao Ma Ge, Teacher Yao, Meng Guanyuan, etc. came to Banshen village with gifts. They would spend their 2015 Chinese New Year with the children from Longwan.
Banshen village is located in the north end of Dahua County, 124 kilometers away from the county. It is the remotest and poorest village with disadvantage natural conditions in Dahua county. Xiao Ma Ge and Teacher Yao visited many places. They managed to get closer to those children to learn their real lives.
There’s no road for the bus, so the children have to walk through mountainous paths with luggage. They have to try very hard to climb the mountains and the furthest village takes about 3 hours walk.
