We give glory to the Lord for His faithfulness to the ACR orphanage as we step forward by His grace and mercy. We received abundant blessings despite many hindrances and obstacles. God is so kind to us. And we would also like to express our heartfelt gratitude to TFish and all the staff and donors in supporting the Adonai orphans in Myanmar to regularly have nutritious food. May the Lord bless each and every one.

Miracle of Brinjal

Picture
Brinjal
On New Years Day, a Buddhist man came to us on a small motorcycle, carrying a sack full of brinjal. First of all, he stopped his motorcycle in front of our orphanage and looked at the sign on our orphanage. Then he started calling out to us.

At first I thought this man was selling brinjal. But then he said, "Sir, can I donate my brinjal to your orphans?"

Then I was surprised and replied, "Of course." I asked him, "Why do you want to donate this brinjal? And where did you get the brinjal from?" I even asked whether he was a Christian or not.
He said, "I am not a Christian, I am a pure Buddhist. I am not a farmer. I am just a merchant man, but I'm willing to donate this brinjal that I purchased from the market." And he said, "I want to continue to donate used clothes to your orphans in the near future." He asked me, "If Buddhist orphans come to you, will you accept them here?"

And I said, "We will accept them, one hundred percent. We do not have religious discrimination or racial discrimination."

He said, "I am very happy for your good works. You are doing good for these orphans. I will tell some of my friends about your organization."

All our orphans enjoyed brinjal curry for the whole week. We thank God for sending even unbelievers to provide for the poor orphans.

Grant Outcome Summary: Proper Education and Assurance of Salvation

The orphans at Adonai Child Rehabilitation would not have a proper education or assurance of salvation if it weren't for the TFish grant. Before coming to us, five of our orphans were not in school while they were living in the villages, even though they were already seven to eight years old. After they were supported by TFish they began their education from first grade. Now they have assurance of salvation and a good education.

Touching Story of Mr. Thla Hnin

Thla Hnin is an 8-year-old orphan from Hman Daw village. He is in 3rd grade, but this child is very different from others. He cannot write or read at all. I observed him, and we suspect he has some mental challenges. Also, his right eye is not as good as his left eye.

The teacher consulted with us and asked us to put him in grade 2 so that he can better learn the grade 2 subjects, and then next year we would put him in grade 3. We agreed and put him in grade 2.

Thla is from the Chin tribe, and he has language problems in school because at school the Burmese teachers are teaching. At the hostel and at school, he never said that he needed to urinate, he simply relieved himself while sitting or even sleeping, without taking off his pants. He also had a nose bleeding issue.
Picture
We felt so concerned for him, not knowing how to help him, but we showed our love to him and encouraged him not to give up, not to be discouraged. We prayed to the Lord, and now Thla has improved a lot. He no longer just relieves himself. My wife Mrs. Angun has taught him privately how to read, write, pronounce, and calculate math by using his fingers to count. Now he can calculate himself and read and write well.

First of all we praise the Lord for His faithfulness to the Adonai orphans for His provision and His presence in our daily movements. And we also express our heartfelt gratitude to all our prayer partners locally and internationally. Special thanks goes to the organization Transparent Fish Fund for their love, prayers, and generous support. May God bless everyone who partners with us in prayer and sowing finances.

Firewood Donation

A 57-year-old woman named Mrs. Iang Chin from Hman Daw village came to our hosel by tricycle and brought a bunch of firewood on December 16th. This was her story.

Her child was sick and admitted to the hospital. She brought some firewood to the hospital to cook rice for themselves. Her child recovered soon and they were about to go home, which was 50 kilometers away. She wanted to donate her firewood, so she searched around.

She heard about the Adonai orphans from another woman who had helped our orphans by giving them bananas. And so she came to the Adonai hostel and gave us the firewood to cook rice. The firewood she gave will be used for cooking for three days.

We are so glad for her loving kindness upon the poor orphans. Even though her gift was small, her loving heart is great and immeasurable.

First of all, we thank God for leading us into the month of November, in spite of many challenges. Our God fills us with joy in our Adonai family because He is with us. We also appreciate all our prayer partners and donors for their faithful commitment to help in prayer and sowing seeds to help the little orphans physically and spiritually. May the Lord continue to bless TFish, which is led by sister Nancy and her team members.

Hospitalization

October and November have been tough months for us because two orphans, Mr. Thla Hnin and Miss. Dawt Rem Chin, have been seriously sick. Their sickness was quite different, with no fever at all. They didn't play like the other orphans, and they didn't move actively. Eventually they developed problems walking. We suspected something might be wrong and brought them to the doctor for a checkup. They underwent blood tests, urine tests, ECGs, and scans. It was determined that they had symptoms of the nervous system.

We admitted Thla Hnin to the hospital, even though we didn't have sufficient money. He was worse than Miss. Dawt, so that is why we admitted him only. Specialist Dr. Nu Nu Htwe asked about the orphans, and we explained to her about them. She felt pity and said, "Don't worry, even if you don't have enough money. I will find a way to treat him for free ." We were so happy, God answered our prayer!

Glory to God

First of all, we would like to give glory to our heavenly Father who enables us to step forward with His marvelous grace and care. Secondly our sincere gratitude goes to sister Nancy and all the staff at Transparent Fish Fund for their hard work and partnership along with heartfelt prayer to support the Adonai orphans in Kalaymyo, Myanmar. May the Lord bless each and every one of them physically and spiritually.

Poor Neighbor Donates Gourd

God really cares for the orphans as it says in James 1:27. One woman named Hannah, who is our neighbor, brought a very big gourd for our orphans. This is awesome and precious because she was moved by God to love and help our orphans. She planted and grew the gourd on her own farm. She is a poor woman but she loved the orphans and gave them her vegetables. If she had sold it at the market she could have gotten $4 for it. We are so overwhelmed with tremendous joy. We keep her name on our prayer list and will always pray for her family. We mixed that gourd with chicken and fried it so our orphans could enjoy chicken curry with gourd.

Gratitude to God and Supporters

First of all, I thank the almighty God for His faithfulness and loving kindness upon the Adonai orphans. And I would like to express my sincere gratitude to sister Nancy, the president of Transparent Fish Fund, and all the staff and prayer partners around the world for their faithful prayer and donations. May the Lord richly bless them and fill them with joy, peace, and grace.

Nutrition Update: Feasting on Good Food

Since all our orphans have come from remote jungle villages, they had never been able to eat good food before, such as food cooked with oil and curry. Before coming to us, they hadn't even eaten simple rice. They ate corn that wasn't ground up.

But since they were brought to our rehabilitation center, they have been nicely provided for by TFish. All of the food they eat has been significantly improved. We give them very good food like beef, chicken, fish, egg, beans, and vegetables. For breakfast they enjoy tea and bread.
Picture
Lunch at school
I wondered about them when I saw them eating. A part of me felt pity for them, seeing how one child could eat 5 plates of rice at one sitting. They can eat a lot of rice at one time, and then after eating they all use the bathroom. We increased the amount of rice we cooked every day, but still, they can eat it all up. Anyway, I think it is good to limit how much they eat, because they are still children, and if they eat like this they will become gluttons, and it may harm their health too. Therefore we teach them how to eat and how to maintain good health. Now we let them eat up to 3 plates at a meal. Because of the good food, their skin complexion has become good and their bodies have become strong.

Giving Thanks

First of all, we give thanks to God, who has enabled us to run our ministry up this point through July. Humanly thinking, it is impossible to accomplish this ministry even in one month. Secondly, we express our sincere gratitude to Miss Nancy and Transparent Fish Fund for the monthly support of the orphans' nutrition. We rejoice for your partnership in prayer and finances. Now our orphans are very happy because of the school supplies, blankets, and other supplies you have provided. Now they also eat very good food because of your loving donation. They are all fine and able to attend school.
