Enable Liang Xia to get a post-surgery check-up and for her grandmother to get necessary medicine.
Recovered but Not Re-checked
Liang Xia had surgery with the support of LRS when she was 7 years old. Now she is 11 years old and in 4th grade. She has recovered well and is able to walk to school every day, which is 5 kilometers away. However, Liang Xia has not been re-checked since the operation.
Grandmother Suffers from GI Condition
Liang Xia’s grandmother is about 80 and has suffered from a GI bleeding condition for many years. She has to take medicine which costs about $650 USD a year.
Dependent on Corn, Rain, and Father’s Extra Work
The family has about 5 acres of mountainous fields. There’s no water to irrigate, so they had to grow corn and depend on the rain. The income from the corn was about $1,300 USD. Her father works for other people during the off season. He can earn $1,600–$2,900 USD with this extra work.
Will you help Liang Xia and her grandmother get the healthcare they need?
