Support Zhuan Zhen’s ambition to study well and help the family.
Still Recovering from Surgery
Zhuan Zhen had heart surgery early this year with the support of LRS. She would have been in 7th grade, but she’s taking a half year off school to recover. Her school is far away, and her physical condition is still weak, so she’s been staying at home.
Struggling to Make Ends Meet
Zhuan Zhen’s family still owes about $3200 USD for the surgery. Her father went out to work this year, while her mother takes care of the field work at home. Although the harvest isn’t looking good, the family relies on it for food, so they can’t give up on it. Zhuan Zhen’s family also needs to take care of two elderly relatives, so their burden is heavy.
With School Comes Hope—And Expense
Next year Zhuan Zhen and her brother will attend middle school in town. The family will have to spend more for their room rental and living expenses. Zhuan Zhen says, “My biggest hope is that both my parents are healthy and that my brother and I study well.”
Will you support Zhuan Zhen’s family as she recovers from surgery and hopes to live well?
