LRS Care: Return Visits

11/20/2012

Little Red Scarf serves to provide financial means and encouragement to children suffering from congenital heart disease. In addition, they provide the family with post-operative care and help their child sustain a healthy lifestyle.

In November 2012, we paid return visits via calls to 10 children checked out from hospital in July. We successfully contacted their parents and asked about their recent conditions. Here is some detailed information about those children.

359 Jiawang   Check-out Time: 23/07/2012 Reexamine Time: 07/11/2012
Jiawang’s recovery was very good. His physical condition is good and he rarely catches cold. His father is working in another city, and he will take him to recheck a few days later.

361 Xuejuan   Check-out Time: 19/07/2012  Reexamine Time: Haven’t reexamined
Xuejuan’s recovery was not bad. Her physical condition is good and rarely catches cold. Her mother told us next term she could attend kindergarten, but parents think she should go to kindergarten later it is far from home.

362 Xinqi   Check-out Time: 26/06/2012   Reexamine Time: 05/11/2012
Xinqi and her parents were at the hospital when we contacted them. Xinqi got well after her operation. As she also got cleft lip and palate days ago, they took her in for reexamination. Her father told us they applied for the "Smile Project" and received the surgery for free. Now Xinqi can speak much clear than before.

363 Xiaojia Check-out Time: 06/26/2012   Reexamine Time: 05/11/2012
Xiaojia did her recheck two days ago and she recovered very well. Now she doesn't gasp for breath and her appetite has become better.

364 Xiaoxing  Check-out Time: 26/07/2012  Reexamine Time: Haven’t reexamined
Xiaoxing is in sixth grade now and he could take PE class at school. He recovered well and didn't catch cold since then. As Lanzhou is too far from his home, parents decide take him to Tianshui to recheck after his exam.

LY-230 Yongrun   Check-out Time: 17/06/2012 Reexamine Time: Mid of September

Yongrun’s condition is fine now and doesn’t catch cold after the surgery. He put on some weight as well.

LY-237 Yujiao   Check-out Time: 29/06/2012 Reexamine Time: Beginning of October

Yujiao did her reexamination twice after the surgery. Doctor says her PAH is still high and suggests she should have a reexamination half a year later. Her mother says he is in healthy condition during the three month after his surgery, and he has barely caught cold now.

LY-241 Zhaxiu   Check-out Time: 07/07/2012 Reexamine Time: Mid of October
Zhaxiu did her reexamination in September and her health condition has been much better than before. Now she can better express herself than before, but her growth is still a little bit delayed than other children.

LY-243 Xiaodong   Check-out Time: 07/07/2012 Reexamine Time: 18/10/2012

Xiaodong has become much better than before and he has regained much energy. Now he can play with other children, and parents decide to send him to kindergarten next term.

Xiaolin's condition has been much better than ever. But Xiaolin's father told us that doctor said Xiaolin still has a cardiac murmur recently. Anyway, they will take Xiaolin to Lanzhou for reexamination after they have applied for reimbursement.
