Mianyang Public Welfare Forum is dedicated to the development of local non-profit organizations and public welfare.
On March 13th, a team of volunteers consisting of students from Southwest University of Science and Technology, Mianyang Normal University and Sichuan Chinese Medical College went to Weicheng Center Primary School. They taught children to cut window grilles with the children.
The volunteers took the lead and used wasted color papers and scissors to cut window decorations. The children showed their curiosities for scissors and color papers at beginning. The volunteers taught them how to cut nice patterns by folding the paper. With further communications, the children not only opened their mind to talk, but became more fascinated on paper-cutting. In the end of the activity, each child showed their own works and was willing to share them with the volunteers. Looking at pieces of window grilles, we also felt the happiness and confidence that conveyed by their works.
