February rings in the Year of the Monkey and Heart Awareness Month.
Happy Chinese New Year from Transparent Fish Fund!
Celebrate the Year of the Monkey and Heart Awareness Month with us by reading these heart-warming stories:
Gorilla of a Fighter: Xiao Ye's New Heart
When we first met Xiao Ye in 2010, he was 4 years old. His congenital heart disease kept him from walking on his own, so he had to be carried all the time. Doctors doubted he would live to adulthood. Xiao Ye's condition was so severe, the Gansu surgeons couldn't operate. He became our first patient to have surgery in Beijing. Learn how LRS helped save his life, his parents' marriage, and his family's tenacity to hope again.
Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Week: February 7-14, 2016
The New Monkey Bridge
The original "monkey bridge" required some acrobatics to cross. Thanks to the donation from Grandma Chu's Love Fund, these villagers have a safe new bridge. The opening ceremony was held on December 29, 2015.
Monkey See, Monkey Do
