Grounded on core values of respect, love, and service to the elderly, the Xin Yue Senior Citizen Service Center of Chongqing, China, promotes social work services for senior citizens and builds harmonious living environment for them
Mother’s Day is coming. We held activity themed on Hymn to Mothers for 65 senior citizens by cooperating with volunteers from Qinglong Road Primary School.
During the activity, the students were preparing their performances seriously with the help of their teachers and parents. Looking at the innocent and lovely children, the senior citizens were infected. They could not help smiling. 2 little hosts announced the open of the activity. The students not only brought gifts, but expressed their best wishes to the senior citizens. Various performances were done one by one. The senior citizens enjoyed them very much. They gave warm applause and were amused by the children. After the performances, the children presented their best wishes, “happy festival to grannies!”
When the activity came to the end, the children were seeing the senior citizens’ leave. Though the children are young, they showed their love and sense of responsibility, which aroused our esteem. We hope they will grow up happily and healthfully.
