Shanquan Youth Public Welfare Development Center works with marginalized children and other vulnerable groups in the western areas and Jiangsu province of China.
For this extra-curricular activity, we made dumplings! They were filled with delicious leek pork.
All of the children were great participants and they were much better dumpling-makers than any of us, the volunteers. In fact, some of us had to learn from the children, and before long they had become our teachers.
The children taught us patiently and they demonstrated every step to us. We made a lot of dumplings, but in a comedic scene, the children were reluctant to put their dumplings with ours. They didn't think ours were pretty enough!
After an entire morning of hard work, here are our achievements!
